Idea for writers

Image

I’m a fan of going to conventions, meeting new people and such, so instead of just verbally passing my name around I came up with the idea of making networking cards.  This way, people will remember me and, hopefully, get hooked up with my writing via social media.  Maybe this is a good idea for you fellow writers, too.  I’m getting them printed at Vista Print.  It’s super cheap, and they have really cool designs.  Even though I’m not published yet, I believe it’s never too early to network.  🙂

Feedback on the card would be great if you have any ideas.

About Violet VanDoren

Violet is my name, and horror is my game. I read it, write it, and watch as much grindhouse/horror that I can get my hands on. However, I wouldn't say I'm an expert. I'm forever a student in the art of gore. As far as writing goes, I've touched on it here and there in the past. I've had some change-of-life experiences happen to me and then out of nowhere....BOOM! The call of being a horror writer exploded into my life. Yeah, don't ask. Too many details, too little time. I may post some excerpts once in a while just to tease you. If my writing fits your fancy then maybe you'll buy my books when they get published. I'll definitely keep you posted. If there's a book or movie title you think I would enjoy, don't hesitate to swing it my way!

  1. This is a great idea. And I love the design of your card. But I have only one suggestion (just my humble opinion) for the Twitter and Facebook links, you could replace the complete url by an icon and the user name only.

For example, your Twitter link would be something like this:

    (Twitter logo) @The_Violet_Vamp

And the same thing goes for Facebook 🙂
